NEW! SCAN-SWAP 8x10 only
We can swap out an identical scanned color photo of your purchase, and frame IT for display, leaving you with the original, unframed 8x10 to put away in a safe place. This is advantageous for expensive photos which may be susceptible to theft, but still make a nice presentation, or for those collectors who prefer unframed photos. The best of both worlds! and no one will ever know. We even include a COI (Certificate of Inauthenticity) on the back. Add $100 for this service.

BORMAN_SCHIRRA GEMINI 6&7 CDR-signed 16x20 This is a 16x20 uniquely
framed photo of Gemini 6
from Gemini 7, during their
rendezvous in space, the
first ever, in Dec. 1965.
|
 |
BORMAN_SCHIRRA GEMINI 6,7 CDR-signed 8X10 Gemini 6 was to attempt the
first docking, but it's
target vehicle blew up upon
launch. It was decided to
rendezvous with Gemini 7
instead. Gemini 7 was to be
the first endurance mission
(2 weeks.) 7 actually
launched a week before 6.
They flew in formation
ranging from 6" to
500' distance, then Gemini
6 (with Wally Schirra and
Tom Stafford) reentered
after a day, leaving 7
(Frank Borman, Jim Lovell)
to compete its two weeks.
|
 |
FLOWN Gemini 4 flag This 8x12 American flag was
flown on the Gemini IV
flight. Rare is anything
flown on Gemini flights, as
conditions were extremely
cramped, with little room
for anything but essential
flight items. This flag had
to be ironed out, as it was
a crumpled ball that
McDivitt stuffed into a
spacesuit pocket.

GENE CERNAN "Full Earth" 27X27 This famous photo was taken
aboard the Apollo XVII
command module America in
December, 1972 as the final
Apollo flight was embarking
from Earth for what was to
become the longest and most
successful lunar mission to
the Taurus-Littrow region.
It has been called the
"most significant
photo of the 20th
Century", the African
and Antarctic continents
plainly visible. It was
summer in the Southern
hemisphere, and winter in
the North. Apollo 17 was
the only mission to view
the Earth in this full
phase, and even modern
weather satellites cannot
duplicate this extreme
southern view, as they are
in equatorial orbits. 20x20
image, 27x27 framed.

 |
GENE CERNAN-LLTV Here's Gene Cernan putting on
his flight gloves for a
turn in the LLTV (Lunar
Lander Training Vehicle) a
dangerous contraption the
astronauts termed "the
Flying Bedstead." A
jet engine pointed straight
down provided thrust while
small rockets providied
"stability."
Even the cool Armstrong
barely got out alive, but
the men who landed the real
thing on the moon called
the LLTV
"invaluable." 8x10.
