In case they brought some exotic "moon bugs" or unknown lunar pathogens back with them, astronauts from the first three landings spent three weeks in the MQF (mobile quarantine facility), in reality a pimped out Airstream trailer, before junkets, ticker-tape parades, or spending time with their families. The practice was abandoned after Apollo 14. w/COA.
