FLOWN Apollo 9 cue card
This is a FLOWN "cue card" used in the first Lunar Module (LM) "Spider," flown for the first time by Jim McDivitt on its shakedown cruise in Earth orbit, March of 1969. It flew flawlessly, and the first lunar landing occurred four months later.
They were velcro'ed next to pertinent instruments and switches for easy hands off "cue-ing" without having to thumb through a flight plan or systems booklet.
Apollo cue cards are very desired space collectibles. They are flown, and similar to flight plans and other checklists. Two photos show: Some leftover cue cards in Apollo 9 during post-landing processing; and the crew deciding pre-flight what procedures to cue-card, assembling from training checklists and manuals.
This card concerns procedures for Rusty Schweickart's EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity) outside the LM, simulating a lunar landing, and evaluating the EVA spacesuit.
