Surface Flown Descent Map

This 8x10 descent map was used by Gene Cernan to track the lunar module's (LM) powered descent to the surface of the moon on Apollo 17. It is section 5 of a 24-panel map. Only one available.

LUNAR SURFACE FLOWN items from Apollo are very rare, and represent the apex of Apollo artifact collecting. Cernan has signed and inscribed this map "This chart used on descent to Taurus-Littrow." Provenance doesn't get any better.

Framed with recessed windows for map, plaque and mission patch. Matted in acid-free black suede with gold fillet. Frame ic 1.25" evched gold reverse-style aluminum, with non-glare UV plexiglass.
