Apollo 14 was the last Apollo flight without a lunar rover, with its more sophisticated navigational system. Here Ed Mitchell ponders a map, on foot, trying to locate Cone crater. Mitchell and Alan Shepard never reached Cone, due to difficulty judging distances and landmarks. They were forced to turn back due to fatigue, and limits of oxygen supply. Mitchell signs in silver.
