Hello Universe is a different artistic direction for Alan Bean. A riot of color and texture, this is a large inspirational piece that conveys the joy of exploration. Bean's impressionistic roots are evident in dabs and slashes of color, all merging to chart another classic self-portrait of the emotion of the artist-explorer. We have archivally framed it in a special step-cut double acid-free mat, gold metallic on the inside and a new blue outside mat with a whisper of purple, not quite pastel, but not solid color. Non-glare UV protective plexiglas. A new style antique gold aluminum frame completes the package.
